Saturday afternoon was spent strolling along the coastline of La Jolla. The rocks and sandy beach area were filled with many sea lions. As they bathed in the sun they had no cares in the world including letting people walk up relatively close. The image above was not taken with a zoom lens, but a 50mm. This stroll was my first real look at the Pacific Ocean. It was an incredible sight and so different compared to Virginia Beach. The waves crashing over rocks, hitting the sides of cliffs, and being able to view it from above was something I will never forget.
